Supervision

I hold an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision including Online and Telephone Working, which is aligned with the supervision competencies established by the BACP, NCPS and ACTO.
I am an Integrative Counsellor with a person‑centred core, grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful work with both clients and supervisees.
My aim is always to offer a space where people feel genuinely seen and heard.
I have a private practice working face to face and online with individual adults 18 and over . Alongside this, I have spent over nine years working with a local mental health charity, providing low‑cost counselling to the community.
In addition to my clinical work, I support the charity in an administrative and mentoring capacity, working closely with both qualified and trainee counsellors.
My experience within the charity has allowed me the privilege of long‑term work with a wide range of client presentations, including complex trauma, dissociative identity disorder (DID), hearing voices,
childhood abuse, and bereavement. Across all of this, I hold a deep respect for each person’s lived experience, offering empathy and a calm, steady presence. This is the same atmosphere I bring into
supervision.
Working with the Seven‑Eyed Model of Supervision developed by Hawkins and Shohet (1985) to guide our sessions. I will work with you collaboratively in the interests of your clients, keeping them present by bringing them into your supervision session metaphorically and in minds eye seeing them not as a problem or task ,but as a fellow human being deserving of understanding and care.
My role is to ensure we are supporting your clients together and encouraging your growth as a counsellor, helping you develop your own internal supervisor while allowing you the time and space to process the emotional impact of your work and ethical dilemmas you may encounter.
At the start of every supervision session, I check in with you, how you are, what’s present for you, and whether anything in your life is influencing your practice. This may be positive or challenging; either way, it matters.
My priority is to create a safe, reflective space where you can bring your clients and yourself to be seen and truly heard.
If you would like to explore working with me as your supervisor, I welcome you to get in touch.
